Overview

Pottinger Gaherty Environmental Consultants Ltd. is a full service environmental consulting firm with offices in Vancouver (BC), Oshawa and Newmarket (ON).

Since 1991, PGL has provided environmental services such as contaminated site assessments, remediation, environmental impact studies, sustainability assessments, and air quality studies.

Our clientele encompasses federal and provincial governments, First Nations, developers, financial institutions, and a variety of resource and industry sectors.

PGL is an employee-owned company with approximately 65 employees including geologists, agrologists, biologists, environmental scientists, soil experts, and engineers, plus a dynamic and customer-oriented support team.

Making a Difference

At PGL, we have the resources to manage all of the environmental aspects of clients' projects. Each custom project team includes a mix of senior, intermediate and junior staff. Unlike many firms, senior staff is involved throughout the project. We make a point of understanding each client's business objectives, not just the technical and regulatory requirements of projects. Knowing the final objective allows PGL to deliver cost-effective, practical solutions with thorough technical competence.

Michael J. Goldstein Memorial Service Award Fund

PGL established this service award in honour of Professional Agrologist Michael J. Goldstein, an employee with the company who passed away in 2005. The award is available to undergraduate or graduate students in good academic standing who have demonstrated excellence in fields such as community service, student leadership, and volunteerism. Preference will be given to students whose studies focus on the environment, soil conservation/contamination or issues surrounding social justice.
